Connecting Children and Nature

Learn About the Connecting Children and Nature Fund

Through your generous support of the Connecting Children and Nature Fund, your contributions actively provide connections between school-age children and the great outdoors, providing them with enriching experiences that not only promote a love for nature but also contribute to their holistic development. These outdoor adventures create lasting memories and instill a sense of environmental stewardship. It is an investment in the future, nurturing a generation that values, protects, and cherishes the beauty of the natural world.

Annually, Friends of Medina County Parks reimburses Medina County schools up to $250 per bus for field-trip transportation to Oenslager Nature Center, where students can attend nature education programs aligned with Ohio science curriculum standards. Grants total $5,000 or more per year!

Contributions to this fund are tax-deductible and can be made online or by check, made payable to Friends of Medina County Parks, mailed to: Connecting Children & Nature Grant, 6364 Deerview Lane, Medina, OH 44256.
